I try to reply to all my email, but sometimes there's too much. If I don't answer, it is usually an under-duress, time-pressed way of saying, I'm really sorry, but I can't. I get a lot of requests to do talks and visit classrooms, but the amount of travel I do for book research and the last-minute nature of the dates make it risky to commit to events far ahead of time.
